TreeEditor

TreeEditor was developed and maintained by Hubert Jin. It was used during treebanking to produce syntactic annotation in accordance with Penn Treebank II standards, based upon Beatrice Santorini's An Introduction to Syntactic Theory, with some adjustments for the specialized language structure.

Originally, we relied upon the first four chapters of Santorini's textbook to form the basis for our treebanking procedure. As of 2007, Beatrice Santorini and Anthony Kroch released an updated version entitled The syntax of natural language, which is also available online.
